Industrially, ammonia and sulfuric acid are directly used for neutralization reaction. They are not used much. They mainly use by-products in industrial production or exhaust gas to be absorbed by sulfuric acid or ammonia water (such as sulfuric acid absorption of ammonia in coke oven gas, ammonia absorption smelting plant). Sulfur dioxide in flue gas, ammonia in the production of caprol or sulfuric acid waste in the production of titanium dioxide from sulfuric acid). There is also a method of producing ammonium sulfate by gypsum method (using natural gypsum or phosphogypsum, ammonia, carbon dioxide as raw materials).
